Where are the config settings saved in the Windows version of Openarena?

Does anyone know where the config settings are stored in the windows version of OA?

When I first set up the program on my laptop, I was working on an external 18" 1280x1024 monitor in the office.  I set the program to operate in a window, moved the window to the external monitor and then reset for fullscreen 1280x1024 through the in-game setup menu.

   Fine, expect now I am away from the office and want to run it on my 1280x800 laptop screen.  Unfortunately, the program fails to start as it can't open a 1280x1024 screen.   It then fails to open on the next lowest res and stops, with a read-only console window showing.  Therefore I can't change the settings in-game.

   If I were on Linux I could go in and alter the q3config.cfg file.  However, this doesn't seem to exist for the Windows version.  Anyone know how I can go about changing the resolution settings outside of the setup menu in the game (which doesn't now run).

   Thanks - I'd thought it might be something to do with a 'hidden' filesystem somewhere but couldn't remember where the system was (had the problem with eMule in the past).

  Knowing that was definitely the case I was able to find the place,  however, the example given was for XP.  For Vista it's:
