afaik cg_crosshairPulse 0 should stop the crosshair changing size everytime you walk over an item, except it doen't seem to do anything and my crosshair changes size regardless. Anyone able to tell me if this is a bug or if there's some other way to get a stable crosshair? I've just put up with it until now, though it is quite distracting.

There is no such cvar 'cg_crosshairPulse', or indeed any cvar containing the word 'pulse'.

Must of snuck in from a mod then, hate the way ioquake3 will autocomplete non-existant commands if they are in a config file.

Anyway, can this be turned off at all? it was easy to ignore when I was just using the dot crosshair, though I'm trying out using the O crosshair for a couple of weapons now and whenever I walk over an item the crosshair swells to about twice its original size :/.

I changed crosshair and size due to this annoyance.

/cg_drawcrosshair 5
/cg_crosshairsize 34

It still pulses crosshair but to me its not that obvious any more
Maybe something to try,  raz3r?

Yeah, well I've been using the dot all this time so had just ignored the pulsing until now. I just changed my mg, sg and cg crosshairs though to:

bind t                        "weapon 2; cg_drawCrosshair 1; cg_crosshairSize 8"
bind x                        "weapon 3; cg_drawCrosshair 1; cg_crosshairSize 38"
bind e                        "weapon 13; cg_drawCrosshair 1; cg_crosshairSize 20"

So now the crosshair shows exactly where the spread of each weapon will go (with fov 130), which is something quite useful imo - except for the damn pulsing crosshair - especialy when you have a size 38 one on your screen, the blowing up to twice its size every 2 seconds is pretty annoying.

He said he was experimenting using different ch's. I use the small ch too. Strangely, I found crosshairs double the size than what they should be.. i cant remember if these are the default ones in oa.
