Hi,

OpenArena is a great Game for me, thanks to the developers of OA.

I would like to give a view Comments to the Maps and Gametypes maybe someone has a view Ideas how the things could be improved in the game.

Gametypes:
It woud be nice to have something like Asault and Domination in OA, i know this wasn't implemented in Q3 but i thought about this.
--> In Domination you have to select a view Control Points and Color it for your team. The count of the Control Points you have set the speed of the Points you will get. The Team with 30 Points winns. Probably this could be done by a modification of CTF but until now I didn't coded on the OA.
--> Assault, you have to Capture Control Points by touching or distroying them. The one team has to defend the Base the other team has to attack, maybe also a Modification of CTF or DM if you destroy a Target you earn 200 Points or so it you be implementet probably ?.

If somebody develops on one of these mods. I could try to help, i have written a view C++ Programms so i could probably help a bit.

Maps:
CBCTF1 the Platforms are a bit to high so you get damage if you jump form the one to the other, the Jumpad on the Flagside is a bit to near on the map, if you jump down you pass the jumppad. It would be find if this would be like in th q3map an the jumppad would throw you to another jumppad in the middle of the map where you were thrown in the air.

OA_CTF4ISH the Platforms are a bit to high so you get damage if you jump form the one to the other

I am looking forward to the next nice version of OA

You take damage in q3ctf4 when doing the same Tongue

I think I talked about Assult on #openarena but I thought it would be stupid to implement before I really knew the bot code and how to add different spawnpoints. Thats that I hope I will learn during DD development (still missing the bot code)

I think that game type would turn out pretty bad if it used existing maps anyway.
