hello.

i'm interested in learning how to make characters for openarena. i've got some of the basic blender skills, i can model, skin and rig a model, but i don't know how to make animations for the game. i've started making a basic character to get started with. i didn't have any fancy ideas, so i just made a bloke in jeans, tshirt and trainers and called him bloke. Smiley

i've got to skin him, then start rigging and animating. skinning isn't a problem, but i'm not sure what i'm meant to be doing with the animating. should i rig him with a basic skeleton and then make my own animations or is it ok to take one of the models from openarena's svn and recycle the skeleton and animations? this model is going to be gpl, so there shouldn't be a problem with the license.

promising start, though the arms and face are quite wacky

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.
