ok hello kind people of OA thank tou for your patince. I would like your help in addressing a problem I have with my wireless gaming of OA. The ping is great and very low but for some reason at odd times I get extreme lag spikes out of knowhere and it is not caused be dropped packets since I do not see red lines. It does not happen in the wired computer connected to the same router. could it be a max packet problem?

I use the same connection type and have noticed this as well. Anyone have any idea what causes this or a solution?

Do large downloads suddenly slow down and then increase?

According to the lagometer, outgoing packets are being dropped for some reason... And the server won't update your clientstate until it receives at least one packet from you.

Its most likely your wireless cant handle the upload. Most can't.

Thanks I figured out what it was and both of your analysis were helpful. It turns out that (Vista)(yes okay it sucks and whatever) blocks packets when it tries to check for more networks every minute or so. If u want you could do more research on it and I will post my solution up shortly.Funny this problem was in XP until SP2 and now it resurfaces in Vista nice work Microsoft.
