I download the game for Windows and Linux too.
And in windows report me this errors (and anothers similars from another avatar player too):

Don't open: sound/player/skelebot/taunt.wav
Error Music File /sonic5 is not 22k stereo
Error Music File /Fla22k.04_loop.ogg

Anyway I use the patch for Windows version 071. Not recognize some music and sound files. The default sound appear with error. The program on windows have versions in wav, ogg and anothers.
I think so... if change all to ogg or mp3 (in similar or equal bitstreams all files) maybe works better. But I know the call from binary will come with this format and call the external file from binary in this format.
I search for the files, yep some exist. But in another format or don't exist too.

Exist the sources for maybe I try to help us with this error?

Don't open: sound/player/skelebot/taunt.wav

That sound doesn't exist, rottking forgot to include it.

Quote

Error Music File /sonic5 is not 22k stereo
Error Music File /Fla22k.04_loop.ogg

completely harmless warning message, in the console

Code:
/s_khz 44

will make it go away.

This is basically 0.7's way of saying there is still a lot of work to accomplish in the project, these messages won't exist in 0.8 (but we will still have missing sounds  :-( )

Oh, and we will NEVER support mp3, take it up with the US Patent Office (and any other country that recognizes software patents which prevents distributing an mp3 codec).
