Capture That Flag!

« on: December 30, 2007, 05:26:35 PM »

Well, I've been playing Open arena for quite a while now, and at least I think, I've gotten pretty good. Recently I've been playing on Vile's CTF under the alias [Jack]SpearHead, however I've been known as DJ Flapjack, SpiderDuckie etc. Anyway, I've been seeing a lot of new players on Open Arena, and I'd like to group some of them together as a team. So I've started up CTF Team Jack's Crew.

i've recruited a couple of cool people into the crew. Those people are

[JACK]TheWeapon
[Jack]Whuch
[Jack]GanjaMan

and more to come!
Right now I'm still seriously looking for members, so if you're interested in joining visit the Jack's Crew forums at :
http://jackscrew.suddenlaunch3.com!

So, speaking of CTF clans, we all know about the bigger ones like <<Valherus>> which I've been trying to befriend, but what are the other ones, like BRUTAL, and whatnot.

Best of luck to your clan, Jack. Smiley

We should scrim some time. Currently we have four guys but that may (should) soon change to six. Wink

Quake I was released some time in 1996, that's when I started playing it. Quake III came in the end of December '99, so chances are that we have some old'timers around since the games are still alive and kicking.

No, I started playing Quake III (Rocket Arena 3 in particular) and OpenArena in '07. Odigo is the one who has been playing Quake III (CTF) for eight years.

Last time I checked there were only about 1,200 people playing q3a, that is not really alive and kicking for a commercial game, and definitely not q3a at its peak.

Q3 isn't was it was in it's glory days, but hopefully with Quake Zero it will bring new life to it.
Think it's mainly in e-sports and thanks to CPMA that it's still that popular though..

Don't think they mind, some people even get a few bucks doing it.
I'd do e-sport instead of watching Big Brother any day...

I'd opt for exploding scotsmen, but to each their own.
