Apparently I missed something in the OGSL license clause that forbids commercial distribution. Bubctf1.txt didn't have it but some other ogsl maps did, adding more to the confusion.

0.5.1 is pulled (0.6.0 rc4 is well) and the SVN has been "cleaned" of this.

Sorry guys Sad

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

Fortunately it's just bubctf1 that I used. I was going to port the rest of the OGSL maps later, but I guess not Smiley

Well its not like you are telling us the polar ice caps and Greenland's ice pack are melting to flood all of the coastal areas of the planet leaving close to a billion people homeless and destitute...

(Just to put it in perspective)

OpenArena is under the GNU GPL (well entirely now) which allows commercial distribution (usually on Linux distro cds)

Anything "non-commercial" will conflict with the license and we can't take any of that (especially all those in the past who ask us to use Polycount's assets or my project will "go nowhere fast and die")

The original level can be found here

http://lvlworld.com/comments.php?id=1279

This isn't exactly the same as OA's version, as this one has a different skybox, older textures, and a full compile.

Sorry for bumping this old topic up but I have to ask what clause forbids commercial distribution.

Some of the clauses _might_ be considered Advertisment clauses and the naming one _might_ be GPL incompatible (not sure since its data-files and not source-files). But I can't find the non-commercial or anything that makes it non-free.

I first thought that it was because some authors had changed part of the license but it doesn't appear so (not for Bubctf at least)
