hello,
I think in OA is not something like Clan League, so we would can create. Just create some server for matches and then register clans, for example [CZ] /V/ [Jack] /GPC/ [CBS] etc.
Just we would must number marks to win......
I think that many people would go to some clan, because they would want take part in league....and whole game would be better...
Who is for?

Hi all
I play in a Clan for antoher Q3 mod, named World of Padman.
Some of our members (me included) are interested in OA, too and we already wondered if there are tournaments in OA like in World of Padman.
so t think, its a veryyy good idea!!

yea, just needs some rules: ehm, to league can join only clans with more than 5 members
will be play three matches
no cheats
by every match will some admin
for every win team get 3 marks
etc.
Just some server and somebody who would drive league.
i think it would be very good......and funny
So please some admin to write here what and how....

I definately like the idea. I think a clan league would give OA more cool points. Makes the game more competitive and allows players to step up their skill. Tournaments are usually unofficial and scheduled spontaneously. For instance, there maybe a match between V and Jack on Saturday in Nemesis server on ver.0.7.1
Perhaps if we could have a database of clans, (with win-loss record and demos) that would be accessible on the Openarena site, it would be quite interesting!

Yes, i suggest to create some "Clan Section" here on this forum. I think, we need this improve, cuz we are now unified in one version - 080 - and suddenly heres more players than ever before. Many clans came from 077 (but not many members and not so skilled), in 071 are some clans too, more skilled and bigger.
In clan section, would be place for introduction of each clan, clan members, wins, and many other stuff. We need to improve communication between players. Clan leaders can recruit there other players etc. and of course, better organising of clan wars.
Many other games have this clan section (quake, urban terror, counter strike, ...)

We need to improve communication between players.
I think that's very important. On a large scale this can become difficult. Consider what percentage of players actually participate in these forums. I think a clan league would encourage communication and help to boost the profile of OA as well. Great idea. |

And all this although there are very much less players than in OA. yea, i play Counter strike and OA, a few days ago i came to clan [^DA^] (in cs) and our leader gave me webside "Game unity", there are registered many and many clans from cs 1.6, cs source, q3, Cod 2, Cod 4 (all cods) and many other games, in each game is clan league....every clan can join... Everything u find there....clans, members, wins, loses, details about members....everything....the Clan Section is very good idea... Just some rules..... But with clan section and clan league would OA be better, clans would be biggers, Oa would be more interesting, OA would have more players.......clan league and section is necessary.. |

Most important things for starting a league are: - League Server for playing/training - Website with information about the matches (time/gamemode/etc.) and results of previous leagues - and a few clans  i know this ain't really professional, but it would be a beginning of greater things in the future . it works fine for world of padman like skullpad already said. so first we need some ppl willing to sponsor a server and ppl who create a league website. pls reply if anyone can do so. btw: you can collect ideas for layout etc. on http://wop.spruz.net , the world of padman league website. hope to see a oa-league soon .. pietsen |

Hihihi, well i'm new in this Forum, so let me introduce myself: Might be that some of you know me, in OA i'm Playing with my Nick (pe)Padbury. I'm the Leader of SkullPads Clan in theWop, I'm also a Mapper for some games. So, a Big Hello to all OA-Members, Hope we'll join us really often in OA-Games. After watching most of the Post here in the OA-Section, mostly the League-Wishing-Parts , i thing it could be really interesting to create a OA-League for more good and hot OA-Games. If someone wants to Start a League and is maybe a owner of a good usefull Game-Server, i thing i can Help you to make a good Start, because im also a Part of the League-Creators of our WOP-Online-League. Main Question is: Are there enogh Clans, that will be interested in a League and next one: What Kind of Games and what kind of Rules. Think we could Use this Topic for some Ideas about a "How-to-Do-It", but you can also feel Free to contact me via Mail or add me to your Messengers. EDIT: I forget to say, that our Clan is also interested in playing hot and nice OA-Clan-Matches |
