The player model appears very big. At 800x500 it appears much smaller.

Is it the same in the game? Would be easier to target big model =)

It could be because different code is used for displaying the model in the GUI (notice the missing or tilted barrels in chaingun and BFG, and it also ignores Angelyss and Ayumi's fixedtorso).
