Hi im new to OpenArena, and its really awesome. I have 1 issue though i get serious lag when playing online. I only have a 56k connection. is there anyway i can speed up the game performance.(without getting adsl)

The game runs perfectly single player.

By the way is there anyway to get a rss of new topics posted to this forum.

56k connection...I have to say, it's kind of hopeless if you want to play multiplayer on a connection like that. Um...I'm not really sure if there are any in-game options that can speed up the performance when it comes to network-wise. It makes sense that singleplayer runs fine, while multiplayer lags...singleplayer doesn't use any internet at all. Of course. Best solution is to get a better connection, least where I see it...sorry.

I have had a bit of luck,im running a software modem not a hardware so i took a guess that if my processor did more work my connection would suffer so i lowered my graphics nad sound settings drastically.

Im running OpenArena in 320*240 LOL but it runs a lot better, the characters appear to be moving smoothly at least.

So thats a quick fix that worked, its not perfect, but what the hell hey:)
