I have been playing Open Arena for a while now,

I started when I had XP, When I used to play it. everytime I would get the Lightning Gun and shoot it. It would curve and stay off center from the Crosshair, This was only when I would move around trying to hit a moving target.

Flass Foward to when I got my new computer with Vista, All of a sudden everytime I would shoot the LG, the beam would be in a straight line and not move. In fact it moved with the Crosshair. No matter how much I moved it was always a straight Beam.

Well yesterday I installed Xp on this new computer. and now the LG is back to how it was.

Why is that?

Try to set cg_truelightning from 0 to 1.
With 1, the beam will stay straight as it is calculated according to client side aiming, whereas with 0 it reflects lag.

If you use "Delag hitscan" the LG will shoot straight because the lag is compensated.

In addition cg_projectileNudge "1" is useful for each weapon on unlagged servers.

Could these settings be the reason why some LG usage is better than others?
