Connecting to servers

I find servers on this website - http://clanarena.org/browse/ppl.php - and I try to connect to them but nothing it happens. The count just goes up. 1, 2, 3, 4, all the way up until I give up.

Is that what these servers are for? Joining games? If not, is there a list anywhere else for this?

I probably posted this in the wrong place, but didn't know where else to put it.

Go "Multiplayer" than click on "Local" until it isn't "Internet" (If it already is internet skip this step) and click "refresh". Pick one of servers and click "join".

Your right its lan, internet is internet.
Did u install the new version 0.8.1 right?
U cannot join servers with another version

No. I'm now downloading it. It's gonna take about an hour and half though. But should be playing soon.
There are some games on this version, but only 3. I'll play Termulous until it's done.

Make sure your settings are correct such as your Network settings. I think by default, it is set to dialup. You should change it to the appropiate internet speed. If you are using wireless, then dsl/cable will be good but wireless may have you lag a bit. Also, in your console by hitting the ~ key (below the escape button), type in:

/com_maxfps 125
/cl_maxpackets 125
/rate 25000
/cg_drawfps 1
/cg_drawtimer 1
