How do I apply or install the 0.8.5 patch?

I downloaded oa085p.zip but don't know how to apply the patch.

I have OpenArena 0.8.1 installed through Ubuntu, but there are no instructions on the website on how to proceed. Isn't it something like: paste the patch into ~/.openarena ??

The solution is to put pak6-patch085.pk3 in ~/.openarena/baseoa/

Can we put instructions on the front-page or download-page for noobs like me?
