Hey i was wondering.. Does someone love the skin of wiki? It's a choice or? 'Cause since i'm log in i open it under "new wikia skin" and i found it much better. (the red background make sometimes links hard to see,...) Well the default one is simple, but for me that look more modern, easier to navigate, and more clear..  I know all can pick a skin in account, but for those who didn't make account it would be nice to get the best skin as possible  |

The white may be okay, but the skin does not only change the colour. I tried the new skin and it drastically changes the interface... I didn't like it much...

Wikia forced the new skin to everyone. It seems that it is still possible to select the old skin, but only up to 3 november.  The new interface appears absurdely uncomfortable, for me. I'm using Firefox, and I cannot even access the history of a page! Under the page name, there is "edited X days ago by Y": you go there with the mouse, and a menu opens, showing some more edits (in a semi-transparent way that is hard to read), and there is a small link at the end that says "show full history"... but it is impossible to click it!!! Ouch!!! |

After a quick check I don't see any big change either, is it because you're logged and not us ?
Is it the form editing ? Seems so. I've always dealt directly with sources in wikis, never liked format buttons.

As stated in a message from Wikia that now I don't find, within some weeks one will not be able to use the old skins anymore... |

I see it now too, even though I'm not registered.
Unfortunately my outdated (but much better) version of Firefox doesn't support it. The background is an ugly blue and things aren't aligned properly.

Numerous games have already abandoned Wikia due to the new skin which will be forced as the only one (among other crapness like all the advertising). The DOOM community are discussing the move right now.
Mancubus (who hosts OpenArena's SVN) has offered to host the new DOOM wiki, and that may be an option for OpenArena if this community wants to abandon Wikia as well.

I hope that the guys at Wikia will see that the various communities do not like the new, unusable skin, and will maintain the ability to use the old one...
