It seems that on my ally clan's server that they have a re-occuring issue of the admin levels resetting to 0 after every server restart or update to their virtual server. They are trying to find a fix for this, but cannot do so. Here's an example:

I am a level 2 on their server, and a couple admins are set as level 4's and 5's. After updating the virtual server, we all receive the message "The name 'random name' belongs to an admin, please choose another name." and our names are defaulted to UnnamedPlayer. and nothing happens when we try to set our names back to the originals. None of us have changed IPs, guids, or anything. Has anyone had this issue and/or know a fix for this?

Have the port or IP changed?

A different GUID is sent to different addresses.

Hello,

Are you sure your GUID doesn't change ?
Ones in admin.dat probably didn't, but yours when connecting the server could have, check it with cl_guid.
