Hah. Got these in place. They seem to work fine in the current OA, but for some reason the models aren't Q3-legal. Meh.

Try them out, if you dare.

That's cool. I like the icons - very clean.
Are they GPL? I didn't see any licence file in the zip...

I was thinking that the GPL file would be made up when all of the Open Arena assets were finalized and ready to be distributed. It doesn't seem right to GPL everything I create, every time there's a new iteration...

... or do I need some GPL schoolage? Shocked

Basically, all the Open Arena stuff gets put into one (compressed/zipped) file, which includes a COPYING file (with the text of the GNU GPL) and an AUTHORS file, with, uhm, the authors' names. The file you put for download here isn't licensed  under the GNU GPL though, because it has no COPYING file with the GNU GPL inside, Also, you should include a note in every file that it's licensed under the GNU GPL:

Code:

This file is part of Open Arena.

Open Arena is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or
(at your option) any later version.

Open Arena is distributed in the hope that it will be useful,
but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of
MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  See the
GNU General Public License for more details.

Hieronymus : Correct. And thanks for the links.

Under my inherent rights as a creator, I reserve the right to license my stuff under the GNU GPL when I think it's ready. Which in this case means, when Open Arena is ready. Tongue Thanks!

The reason I was asking was because I wanted to add them to the latest snapshot of nxabega (which is GPL). Actually, the lastest snap-shot has your ammo boxes in it and they look great. I also added a first credits screen and added OpenArena there so that people know where the resources came from.
If you get time, take a look and let me know if it's okay. If there's any credits that I have missed let me know so that I can add them etc.
