Although I put my OA config folders to write-protected my certain graphic settings aren't saved properly when I play OA the next time. I prefer to set lightning to vertex but always it changes to lightmap. :-/

things tend to not save when you write-protect them

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

Best way to do it is to set all the settings you want, like vertex lightning, rate settings and so on, then you type /writeconfig myconfig.cfg
Now you have a configuration (text) file with all your settings, next step is to create a autoexec.cfg and put in your directory, in this autoexec.cfg you simply add one line saying: exec myconfig.cfg
That's all there is to it, no need to write protect or mess about. Also, your q3config.cfg should never be write protected since it changes with chatlog commands and history. Hope this helps..
