Hey all,

I just finised uploading my 'repack' for OpenArena, one that includes the 0.7.7 patch (handy for new players)

You can find it here: http://ossware.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45:openarena-077-repack-released&catid=34:new-releases

I'll try to make a new repack asap once a new version of OpenArena comes out! Smiley

edit: since it isn't that obvious for some people: I call it a repack since I custom created the setup.

The 'added value' is that I integrated the latest patch. Nothing more at this moment but the regular game, patched to 0.7.7 in 1 setup.

that wouldn't be necessary since 0.8.0 isn't going to be a patch release

asking when OA3 will be done won't get OA3 done.
Progress of OA3 currently occurs behind closed doors alone

I do not provide technical support either.

It is an availavble download for 0.7.7. It was one of the few locations you could actually claim to be downloading a working product (even if not technically true).

The issue for me is that 0.7.6 has to be seen as a complete mistake and there were so many hot fixes for various issues in the upgrade I dont know why  this couldnt have been done with 0.7.1. Now 0.7.0 and 0.7.1 are paired together just like 0.7.6 and 0.7.7.

As soon as you mention the word 'patch' to someone they will just look away. All the file names and bundles are all different formats, nothing consistant. Even look at the servers lists with all the differe .1.32 - 1.35 exe's running.

I have even advised people to download 0.7.6 then install the patch and you should see them... they think I'm adding something dodgy and want some kind of explanation of what the patch does. Cheesy asking me if I'm putting crapware on their system

Yea if the 0.80 release is soon then thats good news. I would help test if i can, I know nothing about compiling and dont even open half the technical stuff as I dont even understand the subject. That doesnt mean I wouldnt find that i stick to other players and shit.. omg fiticas...
