House Of Rock

Hi.  I setup the OpenArena server "House Of Rock."  Anyways, I was just wondering what kinds of pings people were getting and where you are physically located.

My other question is that if anyone has suggestions for maps or some setting that might make the server better.  This is day one of having the server running, so suggestions would be good.   

I run four bots in it at any given time, so if no one is there you can frag something until someone real shows up.  If someone comes in a bot leaves.

The server is physically located in the western United States in Portland Oregon fwiw.

Hi, here in France, running Tuxfamily.org servers
I've set up Deathmatch (no bot though), first with max 16 players, now 12 as when there are too many people they fire everywhere and some maps become unplayable.

I've set up Capture The Flag as well (10 players).

edit: ah ok, just appeared with 232 ms of ping /o\ (FYI the Tuxfamily.org servers have 34 ms here ;-) )

The commands for setting up bots are pretty simple, I found them online after some Googling.  I will respond to your other post you quoted with how to config your server for bots.  Hope it helps, we need more dedicated servers for OpenArena.

I found your server (see edit above), too high a ping for me though :/ (gives a better chance to your bots gniark gniark gniark :p).

Damn, you are right the server is cutting in and out due to a pretty nasty windstorm.  Ugh, sorry everyone, the House of Rock will be in and out until mother nature decides to let up some.
