Hello,
Im on Mandriva 2009 and i installed Openarena 0.8. It runs perfectly except for the fact that the general game speed is too high. Often people come and go before i can even point at them and its not with the opponents i can see myself walking way too fast.I have played open arena 0.7 extensively and havent faced this problem Is there any setting to reduce game speed? I couldnt find any in the menus.
Thanks,
Soumen

Lol...i do agree the game is very quick...especially to people arent used to playing OA. The more you play, the quicker you will become. Whenever I take off for about a week and return, the speed of the game blows my mind. Believe me, it wont be as fun if the game is slow plus people wont play on slow servers.

If you \set cg_drawTimer "1" in the console, does the clock run fast?

What happens if you use the legacy binaries?  (They should work like 0.7.1.)
