OFC, this is for 0.9.0 / OA3, like every other SP idea.

Obligatory explanation link.

It doesn't involve cards.

Translated to OA, it would be a SP team-based game. The player chooses 4 bots as his allies, bots also display their stats. The maps are distributed in squares. Each map has a gametype, fraglimit and optional timelimit, and starts in 50%. With every win, the winning team scores 10%. A square is been declared as won when it reaches 100%, and lost when it reaches 0%. 0% squares can be replayed in order to get to 100%, but 100% squares can't. The objective is to conquer all the squares in the map. The list of squares might be generated at random with each new game, so players don't play the same game ever and ever again, but maps shouldn't be repeated.

Some ideas about the squares might be:
- mlca1 - Elimination - 5 Rounds - 5 minutes per round
- mlctf1beta - Harvester - 30 skulls - 10 minutes
- kaos2 - Team Deathmatch - 100 frags - 15 minutes
- am_lavaarena - Domination - 100 points - 10 minutes
- oa_shouse - Double Domination - 3 points - 15 minutes
- oasago2 - Capture The Flag - 7 captures - 15 minutes
And so on...

I don't know how the online version of it might be, though.

I've polished a bit more this idea, I'll be attaching screenshots soon.

The SP mode could be called "Zone Domination", as to not to confuse it with the gametypes "Domination" and "Double Domination".

You have a 5x5 matrix of maps with mixed modes. Each square starts in 50%. The objective is to get a full 100% in each square.

For every game won, the player gets 10% for that square. For every game lost, the player loses 10%. The player loses not only a square, but the entire game session, once a single square ends with 0%. It adds a bit more of challenge, as the player is obligated to win (and to lose as fewer matches as possible, since each lose is a step in losing the entire game) in order to keep on playing.

Special attention is given to the awards which are obtained through gameplay. Each match which ends with 5 or more awards gives the player a chance to play "green" match, a special match with customized rules (Instagib/Regen/Vampire/Arena/etc) and harder challenges (dumb team AI/better rival AI) which gives a whooping 20% when won, and subtracts 20% when lost. This can only happen once per square. Unlocking the 25 green squares will also give the player a special match in another randomized map, a "gold" match, with Godlike difficulty, which gives/subtracts 20% on all maps if won/lost.

All in all, the idea is to reward players for victories with harder matches, but with sweet rewards.

Very good idea, +1. Totally fits a SP gametype.

Many SP modes (this one, Skirmish, the Ladder, the Speedrun mode, the "Test Your Luck" mode, the Challenges) exploiting all the different gametypes = more offline replayability. Tutorials should help too, but the advanced should be optional.

There's a lot of people who doesn't want to go online for many reasons (perhaps they'll never be good playing despite the tutorials, perhaps they don't like a single bit the online ambient because they think servers might be filled with thousands of uneducated bastards) and just want to enjoy the game as it is.
